Will demand response affect occupant comfort?

No. DR Max uses hyper efficient operations to make micro-adjustments to HVAC systems during grid events, typically 2-4°F pre-cooling followed by a brief setback. Most occupants never notice the change.

How many events happen per year?

California ELRP events typically occur 10–15 times during May–October, though actual frequency varies year to year with grid conditions. CBP events are scheduled monthly during the summer season. DR Max ensures your facility is enrolled in the right programs to maximize revenue.

How is the 10% take rate calculated?

Our take rate is a flat 10% of your gross demand response revenue. If your facility earns $10,000 in a program year, DR Max retains $1,000 and you keep $9,000. No hidden fees.

What makes DR Max different?

No. DR Max integrates with your existing building systems via software-only hyperefficiency. There is no hardware to purchase, install, or maintain.

How is my facility data secured?

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest on AWS infrastructure. Our systems are aligned with SOC 2 security standards. Meter data access is CISR-compliant through Green Button API.

Can I participate in multiple programs?

Yes. DR Max identifies all eligible California programs for your facility and can stack revenue from multiple programs where allowed by the grid operator.

Payment timelines vary by program. Utility settlement (PG&E, SCE, or SDG&E) for ELRP and CBP programs typically lands 60–90 days after a dispatch event. All payments are deposited directly to your bank account.

I’m already with another aggregator. Can I switch?

Yes. Most aggregator contracts have annual renewal windows. DR Max can assess your current contract terms and help you transition at the right time. Switching to DR Max means keeping 90% of your demand response revenue.
