About DemandQ

AI-enabled electricity demand and energy management solutions — engineered for the real world of commercial buildings, multi-site portfolios, and grid stability.

Our Story

DemandQ was founded on a simple but urgent insight: the commercial building sector holds enormous untapped potential to stabilize the electrical grid — and to dramatically reduce the energy costs that burden building owners, operators, and tenants.

We built our platform to bridge the gap between commercial energy usage and grid stability. By enabling buildings to intelligently manage when their HVAC and other systems operate, DemandQ creates value at every level: lower utility bills for building operators, reduced peak demand on the grid, and measurable progress toward corporate and societal sustainability goals.

Today, DemandQ is a Growth stage technology company headquartered in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Our platform has delivered more than $4 million in verified savings, mitigated more than 175,000 kW of peak demand, and reduced more than 7,800 metric tons of CO₂ emissions — across retail chains, banking networks, telecommunications providers, restaurant chains, and institutional clients.

Our Core Philosophy

"Smarter management, not warmer buildings."

DemandQ uses intelligent queuing technology to optimize when equipment runs, not whether it runs. Every optimization event is constrained by comfort safeguards that ensure facilities maintain operational standards throughout.

What Makes DemandQ Different

The demand management market is full of promises. DemandQ's platform stands apart through patented technology, transparent verification, and a track record built over 12 years of commercial deployments.

Patented Technology

DemandQ's core queuing technology is protected by US Patent # 8219258B1 and US Patent # 12222687B2, with additional patents pending. Our IP represents over a decade of refinement in real-world commercial deployments.

Zero CapEx

DemandQ deploys as a software overlay on existing building automation infrastructure. No hardware procurement, no capital approval cycle, and no construction or installation work required at any location.

AI-Driven

Predictive modeling-driven precooling, machine learning-based demand forecasting, and predictive analytics are core to the DemandQ platform — enabling precision that rule-based systems cannot achieve.

IPMVP-Compliant

Every savings figure reported by DemandQ is measured and verified to IPMVP Option C standards — the internationally recognized gold standard for energy performance verification. No black-box numbers.

12+ Years of Experience

DemandQ has been refining its demand management platform in commercial buildings for over 12 years — across retail, banking, telecommunications, food service, and institutional verticals.

No Operational Impact

DemandQ's philosophy is "smarter management, not warmer buildings." The platform operates behind the meter (BTM), optimizing when equipment runs — never whether it runs. No disruption to building operations.
